Questions hang heavy over tourist visas
Sunday Telegraph columnist Peta Credlin has certainly asked the questions we all want answered from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his government (“Gazan visa scheme is a sure sign of desperation,” Sunday Telegraph 25/8).
Why have we approved some 3000 tourist visas to Gazans simply online and without proper or appropriate security screening?
This intake is significantly more than all other countries in the world combined, including those in the Middle East – why?
Why did the Albanese government not tell Australians what they were doing, and why has the Prime Minister dodged questions about Hamas support and visas approval?
Now apparently those Gazan “tourists” already in the country are applying for permanent refugee status, and all the taxpayer benefits associated with it. While Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has called for the security vetting process to be guaranteed – as most Australians would wish – he has been maligned as “racist” by Teal Zali Steggall, and a “fear monger” by Albanese.

We should be afraid of socialist uni students
The radical socialist university student unions who have recently blockaded universities, targeted Jewish students, proclaimed “unconditional support for Hamas terrorist group”, trivialised the slaughter of 1200 Jews, ignore the plight of Jewish captives and endorse the extinction of Israel and its eight million people, will soon be running our political institutions, educating our children and running our economy. In the words of cartoon character Elmer Fudd, we should all “Be afwayd. Be vewy afwayd.”
